Mindfulness-based therapies have been developed for a wide variety of mental health problems, such as stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions and other emotional, physical, mental and spiritual difficulties. Mindfulness meditation also enhances therapist presence with the client and supports therapist self-care and development. 

Focusing on the benefits of developing a mindfulness practice, this module presents an overview of mindfulness, its history and its clinical application with various populations.. Specific mindfulness approaches for various clinical populations are discussed, along with particular mindfulness meditation practices that enhance therapist presence and increase self-care.
